Meet Rano Bofill M.D., a skilled healthcare professional based out of Man,WV. He is family man, musician, and public servant who has spent his career and his life working to make the world a better place for those around him. When he wasn't busy with his private practice in healthcare, Dr. Bofill was off volunteering and serving his community in one way or another. When the West Virginia State Legislation was in session, he volunteered as “Doc for the Day,” he spoke at various medical events as a Continuing Medical Education (CME) speaker, and he was involved in other philanthropic organizations like the Rotary, Knights of Columbus, and Lions.
Rano Bofill M.D. chose to pursue a specialization in Radiology; he stepped into a Rotating Internship position with Frankfort Hospital, an affiliate of the Medical College of PA in Philadelphia. Rano began his Residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Episcopal Hospital, and he completed his Residency as Chief Resident at Germantown Hospital & Medical Center, both in Philadelphia. From there, Rano worked as the Associate Radiologist at Pleasant Valley Hospital in West Virginia, and he served as Chief Radiologist at Man Appalachian Regional Hospital. Additionally, Dr. Bofill served as a Radiologist for Williamson Memorial Hospital and Roane General Hospital.
Assisting others finds one of its finest expressions in serving one's own country. Rano Bofill boasts a history of service, having dedicated his efforts to both the military of the Philippines and the United States. Within the Armed Forces of the Philippines, he held the role of Commanding Officer for a Medical Unit, overseeing operations across five provinces. Moreover, he assumed the responsibility of Officer-In-Charge for the Public Health Team in the FADD Program within the USAR.
Rano's commitment extended to leadership within the Filipino American Military Medical Officers Society, where he previously held the position of President. While his military contributions remain a significant facet of his life, Rano has transitioned from active duty. He now stands as a retired LTC, having been granted an Honorable Discharge from the USAR. His affiliations encompass membership in the American Legion and the Reserve Officers Association of America.
