RAPHAEL STEPHEN

Raphael Stephen is a leadership and organizational transformation advisor, development professional, and social entrepreneur dedicated to building stronger leaders, organizations, and institutions across Africa.

He is the Founder and Principal Consultant of Raphael Stephen Consulting, a leadership, strategy, and organizational transformation advisory firm that partners with governments, corporations, educational institutions, and development organizations to strengthen leadership, improve organizational performance, build
institutional capacity, and deliver sustainable impact.

Raphael is also the Founder and Executive Director of The FAME Foundation (Fashioned and Made for Excellence Foundation), a volunteer-driven nonprofit advancing leadership development, employability, entrepreneurship, and life skills among young people. Under his leadership, the Foundation has directly reached nearly 50,000 students and indirectly impacted more than 300,000 students across communities in Oyo, Osun, Rivers, and Jigawa States, Nigeria.

With nearly a decade of experience, Raphael has advised leaders, designed and managed high-impact programs, facilitated executive retreats, and partnered with public, private, and development sector organizations to translate strategy into measurable results.

His expertise spans leadership and governance, organizational transformation, executive advisory, institutional capacity strengthening, education and workforce development, strategic communications, and stakeholder engagement.

Raphael holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Ibadan and has completed Executive Education in Non-profit Leadership and Management at Lagos Business School.

A sought-after speaker, Raphael shares practical insights on leadership, governance, organizational transformation, youth development, and institution building, inspiring leaders and organizations to drive meaningful, measurable, and lasting impact across Africa.

He was named a winner of the Ideation Hub Africa Talent of the Future award in 2019, as well as a fellow of the 2019 Ashoka ChangemakerXchange program. He was also recognized as a recipient of the 2019 Mandela Washington Fellowship Alumni Young Leaders Award in the Education Category and was recognized as one of the 30 Outstanding Youth Leaders in Oyo State for 2023 by YALI Network Oyo.

He was recognized as the Education Personality of the Year 2024 by the UCJ, University of Ibadan. Additionally, he has spoken at TEDx events.
