RAPHAEL STEPHEN

Raphael Stephen is a global leadership consultant, development professional, and social entrepreneur. For nearly a decade, he has trained and empowered thousands of youths in secondary schools in Africa through secondary education and people, worldwide, through seminars, workshops, retreats, and conferences.

Raphael is the founder and executive director of The FAME Foundation, which is a West Africa based for-impact organization. The organization aims to end the leadership and learning crisis in Nigeria and Africa. It provides transformative leadership and skills-based education to students in secondary schools. The FAME Foundation has sustainably trained over 40,000 youths for nearly a decade.

Since its inception, the initiative has garnered support from numerous organizations. These include the Research on Improving Systems of Education programme (RISE), the Centre for the Study of the Economies of Africa, The African School of Economies, and local Ministries of Education. The goal is to make its life-changing curriculum accessible to thousands of secondary school students in Africa.

He is the Principal Consultant of ELC, Inc., a leading impact advisory firm, partnering with private, public, and third-sector organizations to drive sustainable development and deliver on their strategic goals. The company's mission is to develop visionary leadership talent and help create innovative, transformative, and sustainable empowerment initiatives.

Raphael holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Ibadan. He also has an Executive Education in Non-profit Leadership and Management from Lagos Business School. He believes that investing in the development of people to lead themselves and others well is the greatest investment that an organization can make in its future.

For nearly a decade, thousands of people have enjoyed the warmth, wisdom, humor, and transformational power of Raphael’s keynote speeches and personal development events.

He was named a winner of the Talent of the Future award in 2019, as well as a fellow of the 2019 Ashoka ChangemakerXchange program. He was also recognized as a recipient of the 2019 Mandela Washington Fellowship Alumni Young Leaders Award in the Education Category and was recognized as one of the 30 Outstanding Youth Leaders in Oyo state for 2023 by YALI Network Oyo.

He was recently recognized as the Education Personality of the Year 2024 by the UCJ, University of Ibadan. Additionally, he has spoken at TEDx events.
