Hello! I've always appreciated to know how do things work in nature...that's why I took Applied Biology as my first degree. Then I took a master in Environmental Toxicology to get a broader knowledge about nature protection and pollution impacts on ecosystems and biodiversity.
Meanwhile, I've also experienced babysitting, working at a bank as a teller and volunteering. For the last few years I worked as a fellow researcher, seeking the effects of atmospheric pollutants on pollen grains and allergenicity.
Few years ago I started beekeping and then I discovered the wonder of the honeybees. I became driven to know more about them as a crucial factor to plant biodiversity and pollination, and as an exquisite model to study behaviour... Besides they are wonderful creatures to photograph. It's amazing to observe carefully how they work hard and take care of each other in a very well organized community.
Now that I've enrolled GABBA PhD Program (Portugal) I'm willing to answer some of the remaining questions regarding honeybee research.
