Raquel Chesir

Raquel Chesir is a Journalist out of Nashville, Tennessee. She focuses on beauty, health, fashion and entertainment throughout her blog Raquel Chesir Express. Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Raquel knew that media was the direction for her after completing an internship as the first high school intern at a local radio station, WKKV, a clear channel station. She decided to move to Tennessee in 2008, starting her journey off as a Journalist.

In 2012 Raquel received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication, graduating with honors, Cum Laude, from Lane College, located in Jackson, Tennessee. While in college she had the opportunity to spend a semester job shadowing with The Jackson (TN) Sun, part of the Gannett newspaper chain. She also, decided it would be good to take English as a minor, since her passion was writing. After graduating she relocated to Nashville, Tennessee to continue her journey as a Journalist.

Currently, Raquel is pursuing her Master’s of Arts degree in New Media Journalism at Full Sail University, which specializes in media studies and production. During this time Raquel has been able to not only focus on Journalism, but videography as well as photography. After she completes her Master’s program she plans to go forward with her journalism career and even give television production a try.

Raquel loves to volunteer with different organizations, mostly with children, as she wants to help our future businessmen and women strive to be the best they can be. She also gets involved in her community to promote what is going on to kept people up to date.
