My name is Rasheedah Akbar-Braclet. I am Social Media journalist, Blogger and photographer. I am a native of Jacksonville, Florida. At the tender age of 16, I fell in love with journalism. Starting off as a television announcer for my high school’s television station, and then advancing to my very own sports show “Meet The Players With Sheedah.” From there I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication from The Great Bethune-Cookman University. As of September 2013, I am now pursuing my Master of Arts in News Media Journalism from Full Sail University.

On my down time I like to give back to the community with mysorority sisters of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Incorporated. I also enjoy sports and out door activities in my spare time, but most importantly to make a difference in her community and help make a better place for the youth.My dream goal is to become an attorney to help those who can not afford counsel for themselves and to start a scholarship program for minority girls going to college.
