As a child, I would find myself looking up to timeless icons from past decades including Jackie O, Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn. Always overdressed, I follow personal aesthetics over trends. I dress for myself rather than others, and would trade breakfast for Vogue or a one-way ticket to anywhere beautiful.

No surprises here, I grew up to pursue my career in fashion and am fortunate to be working with the best in Fashion District, New York City. I was born in silicon city of India, Bangalore.. traveled, worked and lived in Italy, London and most recently China (still counting) with some of the prominent design houses around the world.

I love my travels that have altered my core, the encounters have changed me.. I have been a curious witness of evolution of people, places and myself (the observer) over the years. And, think:

“Fashion really is a reflection of now.. a reflection of the moment, reflection of culture + art, reflect of the economy and people around us.

It provoke a conversation, an argument, it makes us question. it rocks the boat.

Over the past 10+ years, I have held creative leadership roles in design, product development, sourcing and brand management both in public and private companies. The experience had fine-tuned my ability to balance artistic expression + commercial application.

In the summer of ’16, I took a leap of faith and left my corporate job to launch my start-up Cardinal Mode. I’m also the Co-founder of A Box, a fashion- tech company based in China.

Women are, by far, the primary consumers of fashion. Women makeup to 70% of the fashion industries workforce, yet hold less than 25 % of leadership positions in top fashion companies. I hope to be part of the new generation of leadership that changes the equation and support other women entrepreneurs on the journey.
