Rasia & Acantha

Washington & Manitoba

This will be a shared page between Acantha and I - but I will be the one writing it out. My name is Rasia, although that is not my true moniker - just as Acantha was born with a different name. I have chosen to omit our true names for several reasons, but I will explain to you the main two. Our intent of assuming entirely different personas stems from multiple things. It is a desire to shed our shackling true personalities and embrace becoming someone new. The whole reason behind this journey I'll tell you about in the following posts is to help us become the women we know are hiding deep within us. I did not want our pasts to influence us in our future decision making. If 'Rasia' decides she wants to do something that I would normally deem silly or stupid, 'Rasia' will be the one to have the final say. If 'Acantha' makes a choice that she does not agree with, ultimately 'Acantha' will win out.

But the real reason behind keeping our given names secret is to remain true to the adventure and true to this lifestyle we've chosen to embrace. I will do my best to describe Acantha before I get the chance to have her describe herself - to the best of my ability, of course. Neither Rasia nor Acantha can be accurately illustrated on page, but I'll do my best to paint a picture of who we are.

  • Rasia: the fiercely loyal, protective and intuitive half of the duo. She is my polar opposite - where I am quiet, introverted and hesitant, Rasia is not. She is outgoing, friendly to all and often acts without thinking. Her persona, especially in performances, is beautiful and beckoning and is the one most onlookers see first. She dances, sings and enchants, as well as reads palms and predicts fortunes.
  • Acantha: the free-spirited, analytical and persuasive half of the duo. Acantha is equal parts impulsive and collected, as outgoing as I am but twice as wild. She is beautiful and alluring, especially when she dances, and will read your tarot cards for a minimal fee. Her persona is designed to attract, to lure in the onlookers and hold them there, but only during performances.

But outside of these performance personas, we are just two 20 year olds seeking self-identification and a happiness that permeates both soul and spirit.
