Writing to Reality
Writing has always been my form of fiction and fantasy, whether it be my own words or another’s. But for the first time, my writing became a reality. I had an imagination and vision for permanent ink but no guts to do it, until this summer. Preplanned, my tattoo design had been something I had thought long and hard about but nothing could have prepared me for the story that would go along with it. Centered across the globe in a small town of Tema, Ghana with eleven people I had never met before, God met me and created my vision into a meaningful story worth sharing and apparently worth publishing. My vision had gone from words in my head to words He had spoken to me loud and clear. At the time, I had not known the significance this would bring to me, but today I pack my bags to travel across the country and eventually back across the world to share a much larger meaning than just two words written in ink on my wrist. Today, I stand to fight a battle of slavery that runs across all nations; and all because of a simple image and one amazing God.
