A photographic studio residency in Denver's Art District on Santa Fe Drive, ratherMETA is about art, artists, galleries…and the art district itself…so…you know…meta.

The theme for February is…me, Rick Knight. I'll be introducing myself to the folks in the art district…and talking about what I hope to accomplish.

March will see me displaying everything from environmental artist portraits to street district scenes to event coverage.

April…well…that's kind of a surprise.

That said…who am I anyway?

I’m a photographer.

I wanted to be a scientist. Then, an architect. Too much school (I tried college…twice). I played hockey but I wasn’t going to be good enough to make a living with that. Eventually, I became a dabbler. I didn’t have a career, I had jobs and hobbies.

I sold truck tires and record albums. I worked for Apple and for myself. I was a graphic designer and a dishwasher and a club DJ. I’ve met both famous people and forgotten people. I’ve shared meals and drinks with the bad and the good. I’ve shared experiences with the dangerous and the gentle. I’ve been married three times and can say that, yes, the third time is the charm.

I left.

I came back.
