Robert Rauchhaus is a licensed real estate broker that helps clients buy, sell, and lease commercial real estate. He currently works in Berkshire Hathaway's Commercial Division, and independently with Hospitality Realty Partners and Family Office Partners. His past work experience includes a decade with Radius Commercial Real Estate & Investments, as well as M&A advisory/business brokering with First Principle and strategy consulting with McKinsey and Company.

In addition to his work in the private sector, Robert has held academic appointments at Princeton, UC Santa Barbara, and the National Defense University. He earned his BA, MA, and PhD in political science at UC Berkeley, where he focused on international relations and research methodology, including game theory and statistics. Robert has also served as an infantryman in the Army National Guard and as a reserve police officer in a local police department.

Robert is committed to non profit work and currently serves on several boards, including the Santa Ynez Chamber of Commerce (Treasurer), the Santa Ynez Association of Realtors (Treasurer), the California Association of Realtors (Director), and the Santa Barbara Community Prayer Breakfast. He is a past Chairman of the Board for the Pacific Coast Chapter of the American Red Cross.

Robert resides in the Santa Ynez Valley. He has a college age daughter. His hobbies include fly fishing, horses and tennis. He is a member of the ancient Antiochian Orthodox Church.
