I started my career with the Ministry of Finance of Azerbaijan where I was able to contribute towards making the Government more efficient and, among other things, establishing the Central Treasury. The range of my assignments at the Islamic Development Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development allowed me to travel extensively across the Europe and Central Asia and introduced me to the fundamentals of financing for development as well as both public and private sector strategies. In August 2008, I joined the economic strategy team of Dubai's Department of Economic Development (Govt of Dubai). In addition to my prime responsibilities of promoting the economic competitiveness, I was selected as the Innovation Theme Leader and member of the Economic Policy Committee. In January 2011, I joined the PRTM Management Consultants where range of my assignments included advising leading public and private sector agencies in the GCC region on ways of improving performance and impact of their activities. On June 24, 2011, PwC announced acquisition of PRTM. In November 2012 I joined Qatar 2022 Supreme Committee where I was leading sustainability and innovation efforts. Most recently, in February 2014, I joined Qatar Development Bank where my current role is Advisor to CEO.
Born in Azerbaijan I lived, studied and worked in Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, UK, USA, UAE, Spain and now Qatar. Actively travelled across different parts of our planet. Currently, I'm based in one of the finest cities in the world - Doha, with my best friend - my wife, and three wonderful children.
