Highly versatile scientist with more than 15 years of experience in academic sector. During pursuit of my scientific projects I gained competence in a wide array of research methods(different species, different areas of biomedical research and translational medicine). Amassing this technical repertoire required a high degree of motivation, curiosity, hard work and most of all, the aptitude to learn and apply new.
I have coordinated several teams,attracted funding and established international cooperations, allowing me to acquire excellent knowledge on management of human and material resources, communication skills and science policy.
Currently I am the Scientific Office Manager of the Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBELL, Catalonia), Lecturer at the International University of Catalonia (UIC; Biomedical and Medical degree) and Principal investigator at the School for Mental Health and Neuroscience (MHENS) at Maastricht University (The Netherlands).
Highly committed with catalan science diplomacy and science divulgation (author in several blogs such Divulcat, Mapping Ignorance or Investigación y Ciencia) and co-author of two books for National Geographic-RBA (La Epigenética and Genética y Evolución).
