Things of biggest interest to me are the underlying forces that shape our lifes and societies.
Why do people do what they do? What motivations are there beyond vanity and boosting one's own ego?
What is this thing called universe, where does it come from and where is it going?
What do we want to do with our limited time on this little rock called earth? What knowledge can we achieve?
How do we want to live our lifes? What are our priorities?
Why can't a group of highly trained and paid individuals seem to keep track of the simplest project goals?
It's these and many more questions bothering me. And it's because asking the right questions is more important today than having all the right answers that I've chosen to become a consultant.
Here's a list of things I deem to be cool:
- Leadership (the good kind where people are seen as people and work gets done without frustration)
- Lateral thinking (there's always more than one path and the less trodden seems to be forgotten most of the time)
- Fractal geometry (the world isn't smooth in the end)
- Fitness and rugby (though I seem not to have the time for the latter anymore)
- Constructivist epistemology (in the end the world is what you think it is)
- Basic income (in fact we have more than we need, why bother with economically forcing people to do things)
- Metal (its the music, not metallurgy; amongst other styles of music of course)
