Ravinder Soin

I am a Director of Aus Renewable Energy Pty Ltd, an energy company established in 2018 to provide hassle-free, affordable and outstanding portable solar generators.

I have been working in renewable energy area since 1977; started my career in Corporate R&D of ABB and later moved to Projects Division of ABB responsible for commercial Solar Thermal Systems for industrial applications and Wind Farms business on turn-key basis. In 1991, I joined BP Solar Australia responsible for off-grid remote area power systems and later industrial applications servicing telecom, oil & gas, marine and aviation sectors in Oceania and SE Asia. During 2001-03, I was the Director – Market Development for China and Japan.

In 2003, I started my own business, Aus Renewable Energy Ltd in Hong Kong, and provided solar PV panels mainly to the German and Swiss customers on OEM basis and direct supply. During 2005-07, I served as an independent director on Deli Solar (USA) Inc. and was an advisor to China Silicon Corporation, Delaware, USA.

During 2009-12, I established a company to supply and install residential and commercial PV systems in Sydney, Australia. I also served as Vice-President Oceania of CNPV Solar Power SA, a leading Tier-1 PV module manufacturer and set up distribution and key accounts in Oceania, Malaysia and Spain.

My interests range from technology to travel. I am interested in innovations which helps people to achieve sustainable living.
