The development of a youth-Centred actionable recommendations for a wide range of stakeholders is essential to the Prevention of violent extremism (PVE). This includes capacity building for youth in SEL. SEL can help youth to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to identify and address the root causes of violent extremism. SEL can also help youth to build the resilience needed to resist recruitment into violent extremist groups.
