Ravon Rhoden, otherwise known as “Steely” is from the Caribbean island of Jamaica home of the late great Bob Marley.

Ravon is a very keen and energetic steel pan musician who boasts fourteen (14) years experience in his field. Now a soloist,Song Writer, band leader and musical arranger, Ravon learned to play this unique instrument under the hands of the late Errol Caseley and has been entertaining patrons and audiences from the tender age of ten (10). He is also a former member of the “Bung Guh Lhung” Steelband, making numerous television appearances and also was the leader of the “Watcha” Steel Orchestra.

Ravon began his professional career in 2009,established his own Steel band(Jamaica Rhythms) with young members from his family and the community. Jamaica Rhythms has risen massively throughout 2012 and is known for thrilling audiences with dynamic performances and can be found performing at local hotels such as, The Hilton Jamaica, the Ritz Carlton, Sandals Resorts, Iberostar Hotel and Resorts, Holiday Inn, Secrets Resorts and Riu Hotels Jamaica. Ravon is also a very thorough and detailed steel pan tutor and these lessons can also be sourced online.

Ravon, Along with the Jamaica Rhythms Steel band holds an extensive repertoire inclusive of Reggae, Soca, Calypso, R&B,Latin, Blues, Jazz, Rock, Pop and Soul music. They are highly influenced by musical icons such as Bob Marley,Stevie wonder,Michael Jackson just to name a few.

He has a strong passion for music and has graced the international stage with his Steel drums and his unique way of musical influence.

Internationally, Ravon has worked for top companies like the Walt Disney cruises,celebrity cruises and Holland american cruises.Now currently signed with the Disney company. Ravon has traveled to many countries around the world with his wonderful style,image and skill of playing the steel drum. Ravon has performed in places such as:new York city,new jersey, Florida,Puerto Rico,Bahamas,Barbados,Cuba,Dominica,Kitts,Grenada,St.Thomas just to name a few.
