For several years I have been researching historical materials located in the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union to assist people in discovering the stories of their ancestors. I am familiar with the holdings in major archives and many smaller archives. Moreover, I am involved in working co-operatively in several research networks located across Russia, Ukraine and the former Manchuria, thus extending my research capabilities.

I have experience in using sources which deal with Birth, Death and Marriage records, Education and Employment files, Census and Military records, the files of Victims of Political Repression and KBG records, as well as those associated with refugees and the causalities and heroes of World War’s One and Two . I am also familiar with the methods used to search for living relatives.
