A geek since high-school. Electronics, computers, chips and wires and solder, and finally software. And now Standard Time® Timesheet is my life's work. But I'm also a Christian and going to Heaven when this big show is over. :-)
I self-published two historical novels from time periods that interested me -- the decade of Reconstruction after the Civil War, and the Cripple Creek labor wars of the early 20th Century.
Even in my writing, I'm a unreconstructed geek. See? Who uses that term? Who even knows what it means?
I drive around a 1929 Ford truck with an old U.S. Forest Service emblem on the door. It goes 45 mph, and clears Colorado hills at 25.
See that crazy clothing in the photo? That's me, dressed up as Johnnie the Miner. Yep, real guy! My wife and I portray Johnnie and his wife Anna at a cemetery tour in Cripple Creek. That's true geek!
