Raymond Wong has been praised for his "attention to detail and artistry... electrifying performance of the "you had to hear it to believe it" nature" (Virginia Gazette), "pure elegance and magic on stage" (Matzerath Concert Reviews), and "considerable youthful fire and moments of real artistry" (New York Concert Review). The Epoch Times hailed his performance of the Ravel Piano Concerto, "...in a word, spectacular. From his commanding opening to the riotously jaunty ending, Mr Wong dominated the concerto with forceful sonority and technique to burn." Raymond has been featured on The CBC Radio, WQXR New York Classical Radio, International Pianists Magazine, BC Business Magazine, The New London Times, and The New Yorker Magazine. Raymond presented his debut solo recital at Carnegie Hall and his NYC Concerto debut in the Evenings of Concerto Series, presented by NY Concert Artists. This past year, Raymond has performed with The Juilliard Orchestra at Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center, and been featured in the Bechstein Artists Series, Wall Street Trinity Church Concert Series, Stradivarius for Lunch, Golden Key of New York, Lives of the Piano, Turtle Bay Music School, The MTNA National Conference Masterclass Series and The Harvard Club of New York. Raymond has served on the jury of The Seattle International Piano Competition, and is currently on piano faculty at Piano School of NYC, and serves as a teaching assistant in the college division at Manhattan School of Music. Raymond received his Bachelors and Masters degrees from The Manhattan School of Music where he is pursuing his Doctoral degree. He has been a recipient of the Harold Bauer Piano Award, President's Award and MSM Scholarship. He draws inspiration from his own teachers, Jeffrey Cohen, Andre-Michel Schub, and Eugene Skovorodnikov. Raymond currently studies at The Juilliard School in the studio of Jonathan Feldman and Margo Garrett as a recipient of The Arthur Gold and Robert Fizdale Scholarship.
