I am told I am fluent in three languages; perhaps, with art I am fluent in four. Art is universal and with it I can communicate with someone that I cannot speak with; our hearts can connect with colors and shapes. We can ‘talk’ about war, love, feelings with images and design. With art, I can have the last word. With color, I can be bold, even arrogant and not have to apologize. With design, I can help someone consider a different opinion. With shape, I can love a stranger. With art I am not limited by gender, or in fact any of the common constraints that traditionally limit communication.
