Ray Jilek

Teacher, Volunteer, and Father in LaGrange Park, IL

Ray Jilek earned a Bachelor Degree in History from the University of Illinois in 2009 and his Masters of Arts in Teaching from National-Louis University in 2014. Ray has spent 11 year career teaching at Saint Patrick High School in Chicago and Nazareth Academy in La Grange Park, IL.

At Nazareth Academy, Ray teaches Contemporary World Issues, World History and Economics. In addition to teaching, he has years of experiencing coaching baseball and golf as well as leading student activities and Model United Nations clubs.

Throughout his time as an educator, Ray has been recognized by both students and colleagues for the positive impact he's made in the classroom, earning Faculty/Staff member of the month recognition as well as a ‘Rising Star in Education" nomination from the Archdiocese of Chicago. He was also selected as a mentor for first and second year teachers during his time at Saint Patrick High School. Ray is also a life-time member of Phi-Alpha-Theta, the National Honor Society for History Majors and the National Society for Leadership and Success.
