Ray Lane

The path that Ray Lane's life has taken almost didn't go quite to plan. The funny thing is that it all started with Ray wanting to follow in his father's footsetps as an aeronautical engineer. But during his time at West Virginia University he found that he had a greater passion for mathematics.

This would prove to be the definitive choice for his success. His long term career would be forged on corporate strategy. Ray Lane has become one of the foremost experts in restructuring a corporation to make the most of it's resources. His presidency at Oracle was the major sign of his ability.

In the 1990's he took over, and turned a struggling technology company into a super giant. Extending corporate profits beyond belief, and ensuring that Oracle would forever have a future in the field.

That led to several different jobs, most notably his tenure as Chairman of the Board at Hewlett Packard. Now he mostly works on his own personal investments, and does consulting work for a wide variety of corporations.
