Raymond majored in music at Hampton University in 1984 and has twenty years of experience as a Minister of Music.

Along with his gift of singing, writing, and arranging songs, Ray has been blessed to play the organ and keyboards in the play, “Yes God Is Real” which performed at the Shoebert Theater, Nashville, TN, Richmond, VA, Ohio and other locations. In addition, he played for “If Only For You” and “Why Am I Still Holding On”. These productions were performed in the Atlantic City area, as well as South Carolina. He played for the gospel group Leviticus who were featured artist for well-known gospel artist such as: Commissioned, the Winans, and John P. Kee. He toured with them through , and .

He performed for two live recording of the Gospel Music Workshop of America (G.M.W.A.) Male Chorus.

Ray has appeared on Sharon Deans CD entitled “Triumphant Victory” released in 1996 and he co-produced, arranged and performed most of the music on Sharon Deans CD entitled “In Full Bloom”. He wrote a song entitled “Psalms 8” for the live recording of “Pastor George Seawright and Royal Priesthood”. He wrote, arranged, played and sang his composition entitled “Son & Heir” in the year 2000 at the live recording of “Pastor Karen Johnson”. He has created tracks for local artist “Total Praise” from the area. In the year 2001, he directed, as well as sang, with a local choir in Savannah, Georgia of who was the featured artist for the “Mississippi Mass Choir” and “The Williams Brothers”. In July 2002, he accompanied “Twinkie Clark” and “Angela Christie” at the birthday celebration for Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins. He also released his single “Don’t Be Discouraged”. In 2006, Ray performed on the Christian talk show Babbies House which airs on Atlanta Live. He was interviewed by recording artist/songwriter and host of the show Babbie Mason.
