Raymond Makau

Ray Makau was born in 1978 in Mombasa, attending Coast Academy from KG through to my O'Levels. I read (did I ..... 'read?') for my A'Levels at Mombasa Academy before a colorful, itinerant stay in England whislt studying Chemical Engineering. Well . . . that was fun, but didn't run to completion and I came back home. By then, I had re-discovered my love for the arts, especially literature and journalism, pursuing the latter as my major at USIU, graduating in 2009. Along the way, I wrote for QZ Magazine and designed Soccer-themed crosswords for The Daily Nation. I then worked on Website Content & E-Marketing in the Tourism Sector before becoming a Course Administrator in 2013.
