Raymond Debbane

Raymond Debbane is President and Chief Executive Officer of Invus, an investment firm that he founded in 1985 as the exclusive investment advisor of Benelux-based Artal Group S.A. Since co-founding the New York-based group, Raymond Debbane has been in charge of private equity investments while overseeing a team of informed strategists, consultants, and business operatives with a shared passion for business management.

Invus partners with owner-managers of private and public companies to help them achieve extraordinary business performance. Over its 20-plus year history, it has achieved both cash on cash multiples and annual internal rates of return that are at the very top of the private equity industry. Invus takes a private equity-like approach to its public stocks portfolio, with significant, concentrated positions in companies that are trading below its assessment of their long-term intrinsic values. The firm manages assets through an evergreen fund, which has grown to over $4billion, and has offices in New York, London, and Paris.

In addition to his work with The Invus Group, Raymond Debbane is the Chairman of Lexicon Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Weight Watchers International, and GoldenSource Corporation. Beyond his work with these corporations, Raymond Debbane is the President of Action Against Hunger, an international humanitarian organization, and a Member of the Board of Trustees of Connecticut College.
