Uchebo Raymond Maduabuchukwu is a renowned education consultant with over 40 years of experience in education, specializing in the development of educational tools and innovative teaching methods. He is recognized as the inventor of the Mathematics Laboratory and the Geotrigmetric Set (formerly known as the Raybometer), a versatile tool used to verify over 40 mathematical concepts. He has played a pivotal role in advancing the practical teaching of mathematics and science in Nigerian schools.
Raymond’s career began as a classroom teacher at Dennis Memorial Grammar School (DMGS) and other institutions before serving in various leadership roles in the Ministry of Education, Awka. He rose through the ranks to become a Deputy Director and Zonal Education Officer. In addition to his public service, he is the Chairman and CEO of Raybometer Ventures Nig. Ltd and Apex Tools Global Resources Consulting, providing education consultancy services since 2014.
He has made significant contributions to the Nigerian education system, particularly in the development and promotion of mathematical tools and the establishment of Mathematical Laboratories in secondary schools. His innovations include the redesign of teaching aids, such as the Clinometer (now known as the Inclinator) and the Mechanical Dynamo, which demonstrates energy conversion for educational purposes.
Raymond has attended numerous international conferences to stay updated on best practices in education, including the British Congress of Mathematics Education (BCME) in Manchester, the World Didactic Expo in New Delhi, and the Chinese Education Tour in Shanghai. His academic achievements include a Nigerian Certificate in Education (NCE) in Mathematics/Physics from the College of Education, Warri, and a Bachelor of Science Education (B.Sc.) in Physics Education from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
