the Group was first formed in 1957,and their first Recording was in 1958,the song was called "To Make A Long Story Short"which was one of the top 10 songs on the chharts of Billboard Magazin.The Group was managed and produced by Al Brown,Florence Greenburgh and Jaco Henderson of WADO Radio Station.The members of the Group are: Richard Moore,Robert Honey, Bill Matthews and Raymond x Sanders who Originally sang with the Paragons,who made a Record called"Florence"and also sang with the Persuasions. Bill Matthews is the Arranger and Producer for the Starlights. The Shells! is one of New York City's Best Love Group! The "Baby Oh Baby"group.The Shells are an experienced Rhythm and Blues singing group prepared to provide audiences with songs they R ecorded during the "Doo-Wop "era. The group consists of Danny Small,Bass/Guitarist,First Tenor,Arranger and Conductor, Gus Geter,Second Tenor /Baritone, Both are members of the Original group.The Newcomers are: Raymond x Sanders, Lead sing /First Tenor and Jame Brown,Second Tenor/Lead.The Harmonies are Rich ,full and Professional.The group's repertoire is that of songs Recorded and made popular by them ;those songs are:"Baby Oh Baby" What's in an Angel's eyes,Sippin Soda,Baby walk on in, Deep in my Heart and Happy Holiday"Candlelight Records, Produced by Wayne Sterle and The Shells.Persuasions are the undisputed hearyweight Champions of acappella. They are to singing what Muhammad Ali was to Boxing invincible,innovative,original,and beautiful.Together since they started singing on the stoops of Brooklyn in 1961,the persuasions have Released 26 albums ,and have Recorded or Perfomed with Artists including :Liza Minnelli,Bette Midler, Stevie Wonder, Lou Reed,Van Morrison, Paul Simon,Joni Mitchell,Gladys Knight ,Patti Labelle, The Neville Brothers,Country Joe Mcdonald B.B.King.
