Rayna Andrews is a dynamic humanitarian with her life's work rooted in service. Rayna was most recently recognized for her inkind and monetary contributions to her community with the 2012-2013 United Way of Greater Milwaukee Philanthropic 5 Award and the National Urban League's Marriott distinction.
She holds a Master's degree in Urban Planning and Real Estate Development and a Bachelor's degree in Journalism. She is a Senior Analyst with the City of Milwaukee's Department of Administration and is accountable to local contractors in the areas of construction, goods and professional services to promote equitable opportunities and due process in the city's procuring efforts. She uses her talents to develop and build the capacities of small businesses with the ultimate goal of local job creation.
On assignment, Rayna works as the lead correspondent, media expert and moderator for the National Urban League Young Professional's. As the creative expert behind iPackage Media, Rayna has years of media experience and an eye for quality production.
Outside of work, Rayna is committed to empowering girls and women in the areas of education, employment and civic engagement. She has a mayoral appointment to the Human Trafficking Task Force of Greater Milwaukee where she works with those who are victims of human trafficking and have been chronically homeless. To better serve this population, she is working on her first full-length documentary film that details her experience of homelessness and provides explicit firsthand accounts of the vulnerability of women living on the street.
