Rayna A. Anderson

Louisiana, United States

As a career counselor turned higher education recruiter, my interests lie in the intersection of education, career development, and human resources. While completing a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration with a concentration in Student Affairs, I studied the functional areas of universities and ultimately took on a graduate assistantship in LSU Career Services. Spending that school year coaching college students through their job search led me to subsequent career services roles at Elon University and the University of Houston. Over time, I realized my underlying interest in how people: identify their dream jobs, become qualified, get hired, and experience happiness and productivity in the workplace.

My commitment to my own continued education has since led me to begin working on a second Master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Houston – Clear Lake while working full-time as Talent Management Analyst for Development and Alumni Relations at Rice University. Rice is a phenomenal place to work and has only reinforced my desire to help other Higher Education & Student Affairs professionals experience joy, purpose, and excitement in their jobs.
