Ray Zahab

This is my journey! The past years have been so rewarding in learning that we can truly exceed any limits we think we might have!

November 1, 2006 former "pack a day smoker" Ray Zahab and 2 runners set out to run across the entire Sahara Desert. 111 days and 7500km after leaving the coast of Senegal they completed their journey at the Red Sea. The trio ran average 70km/day, without a day of rest. National Geographic tracked the expedition by web, and documentary 'Running The Sahara' - produced by Matt Damon, directed by Academy Award winner James Moll - raised awareness for water crisis in North Africa. After this experience, Ray decided to leverage his future adventures to raising awareness & funding for causes that he supports & believes in. Running The Sahara began a journey of discovery- that we ALL can truly achieve the extraordinary.
