Raziah Geneid

Malaysian business executive and community leader Raziah Mahmud Geneid works as MD at the construction firm Kumpulan Parabena.

Datuk Geneid has excellent managerial skills and a visionary approach to long-term corporate strategising. In her role as MD she is responsible for planning and implementing company strategies and mentoring the managerial team.

She is also involved managing the physical and financial resources and works with the sales department. Datuk Geneid's business and community initiatives have positively impacted on Malaysian society. Besides community improvement, Raziah Mahmud Geneid was instrumental in the achievement of a place for a local area on the World Heritage List by UNESCO. Her involvement with NAWEM impacts on a future Malaysia in which gender equality and increased opportunities for women could be a reality.

Career and Education

Before embarking on her professional career, Raziah Geneid completed her studies at the Institute Technology MARA, situated in Shah Alam. Here she accomplished a diploma in business. Following her graduation, Datuk Geneid continued her education by achieving a license to be a company secretary from Pejabat Penaftar Syarikat. She worked extensively in the construction and property development sector and continued her career for over three decades to finally hold a number of prominent positions. Datuk Geneid's roles include being the chairman of Kumpulan Construction, the executive chairman of Majupun, chairman at Borneo Convention Center in Kuching and the executive director of the Borsarmulu Resort. Her sustained dedication has led to noteworthy achievements over the years.

Accolades and Triumphs

Raziah Mahmud Geneid's untiring efforts in the Malaysian business world have been recognized with the "Most Innovative Woman of the Year in Construction and Property" award, received in 2004. Since 2000 Datuk Geneid has been working to establish cultural, social and economic ties with Poland as the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland.
