Richard Bramlette
I am an Aerospace Engineer by trade, Artist by hobby, and RC Aircraft, Museum, Amateur Radio, and Nature enthusiast.
I hold:
B.S.A.E. from Auburn University (2006)
M.S.A.E. Wichita State University (2008)
currently pursuing a Ph. D from the University of Kansas (in propulsion, expected 2012).
I am an active contributing member of: AIAA, SAE, and SPIE.
I have extensive experience in MATLAB programming in all Aerospace disciplines but prefer to stay grounded with hands-on prototypes, matching experimental results with analytical (theoretical) models. I have been in charge of or a mentor to 10 aircraft design competition teams since 2005. I have also worked on a wide array of contracted programs from composite wings, flight actuation, adaptive materials, retrofit components, subsonic ramjets, and visual stealth to high altitude balloons carrying an assortment of experiments including a high school outreach program.
I am interested in working in flight test engineering or rapid prototyping for optimizing complex design choices -- particularly determining the optimal aircraft design for an unmanned aerial vehicle.
