Sam

Hello, my name is Sam and I love to code. I started coding when I was 10 years old because I did not want to be restricted by other people’s software. I wanted to modify and command software to do what I want it to do instead of following other people’s commands through code. Coding has an extremely low barrier to entry so anyone can do it. The entire web runs off many different languages of code but most people only see the visual interface and not the logic running it.

I enjoy code’s mix of logic, English, and mathematics and I love code’s ability to create with zero material input. Unlike other hobbies where material investments must be purchased, code can be created from only the creativity of the mind much akin to literary art in English. In a sense, code is logical art, but the presentation seen by most people is only half of the art. To truly appreciate the beauty of code, one has to do it.

Since I have started coding, it has helped me understand the underlying structure of the everyday web applications that I use and it has helped me better diagnose and fix problems with those applications. Code enables me to not be restricted by a popup error message; it enables me use that window as a door to explore and understand.
