My name is Robert Berry; I live in Clear Lake, Iowa. I graduated from Creighton University with a degree in Finance in 2013. I am interested in entrepreneurship and owning my own business. I have written a short booklet called The Freshman’s Guide to College Academics that provides incoming college freshmen with information about what practices they need to engage in order to be academically successful in their first year of college. Currently only about 60% of first time college students graduate in six years. This low graduation rate leads to hundreds of millions of dollars in wasted tuition money every year, and it also means that students are not receiving the education they need in order to be competitive workers in the global economy. It is my hope that the booklet will be read by all high school seniors, and that the booklet will be one tool that is used to begin increasing college graduation rates.

In my free time I enjoy watching sports especially my home state team the Iowa Hawkeyes and my alma mater team the Creighton Bluejays. I also enjoy reading, particularly fiction, history, and books about business and entrepreneurship. My great passion in life is golf, which I have enjoyed playing since I was a little kid.
