Robert Bortins | CEO, Classical Conversations | Classical Christian Homeschool Leader

Robert Bortins is the CEO of Classical Conversations, the world's largest classical Christian homeschool organization, empowering tens of thousands of families across all 50 states and more than 30 countries to cultivate wisdom, virtue, and a Christ-centered worldview through the classical model of education.

A lifelong product of classical homeschooling himself, Robert was among the first students of Classical Conversations before earning a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Clemson University. He returned to lead the family-founded organization in 2012, growing it by more than 300 percent and earning recognition as a Certified Best Christian Workplace for six consecutive years.

Under Robert's leadership, Classical Conversations equips parents to be the primary educators of their children, using the tools of the classical trivium — grammar, logic, and rhetoric — to produce graduates who think clearly, communicate persuasively, and live faithfully. It is education as formation, not mere information transfer.

Robert is also the host of the Refining Rhetoric podcast, where he interviews thought leaders on faith, education, business, and culture. He is the co-author of Woke and Weaponized, a critical examination of the ideological forces reshaping American education. He serves as President of the Moore County Republican Men's Club and holds board roles with multiple non-profits.

A husband, father of three, rugby coach, and committed Christian, Robert lives what he leads: an integrated life in which vocation, family, and faith are not compartmentalized but woven together in service to God and neighbor.

Robert lives in Moore County, North Carolina, with his wife, April, and their three children.
