Ryan Brooks

I have been in the music entertainment industry for over 17 years, which is more than half my life. At the young age of 12, I was able to start my career in the radio industry by board operating, and doing promotional events and remotes. When I turned 15, I became an on-air personality till I was 17 years old.

After leaving radio, I wanted to continue my passion for music and continue to be in the entertainment industry, so I became a professional mobile disc jockey. Being able to travel, play music, and entertain a crowd, was an exciting adventure for me. Working with a professional disc jockey company for almost 3 years made me become the seasoned DJ I am today. Eventually, I was able to start my own professional disc jockey company, which has been in operation for 8 plus years. Having done hundreds of events through the years, I continue to entertain and provide a memorable experience in the wedding and corporate industry. From meeting my clients, as well as potential future clients, at a professional office located Downtown Modesto, California, I am able to provide them with a relaxing, fun surrounding to tailor to all of my clients needs. Being proactive locally in the public eye through bridal shows, mixers, marketing, and so forth, has made my company very successful.

From radio, to becoming an entrepreneur as a DJ in the wedding and corporate industry, I wanted to broaden my knowledge and hope to venture more into the entertainment industry. By enrolling myself in the Entertainment Business Bachelors Degree Program at Full Sail University as a full-time student, I was able to grasp what the entertainment industry had to offer, as well as having more business knowledge sense. Completion of my degree will be in late June 2012. Once received, I plan on pursuing a career in the sporting, film, or television industry. During that time, I will continue to run and operate my full-time DJ company.

I greatly appreciate you viewing my about.me page, which explains a brief background of my life long journey, as well as work history. For more information on my skills, work history/experiences, references, etc., please feel free to contact me via email. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
