R. Bruce Duncan offers the Chicago area and the nation leading expertise and integrity in art and antique appraising. For 47 years, he has served as president at the Chicago Appraisers Association. Concentrating on customer value, he specializes in recognizing specific client needs with a goal of optimizing the overall appraisal experience. Previously, R. Bruce Duncan served at Art Appraisers of America. Beginning as an apprentice appraiser, after three years he eventually achieved the role of vice president of research, working for one year with paintings and art from pre-Columbian times. Additionally, from 1968 to 1972, he worked for a short period as editor at Graphic Antiquarian Magazine.

Also functioning as a consultant, R. Bruce Duncan gives his time to various museums and auction houses, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Chicago Historical Society, and the Smithsonian Institution, to name a few. Furthermore, he advises on Latin American art and antiques. Over the years, he has appeared on such television shows as Today and Pawn Queens.
