Graduate student studying Mental Health Counseling at Johns Hopkins University, graduating this May, in pursuit of becoming a licensed counseling practitioner (LCPC).
I studied Psychology and received a Bachelors of Science from Towson University in Towson, Maryland. For over 10 years I have worked with children in a variety of capacities, including teaching, mentoring, school administrator, behavior support staff and counselor intern.
I have recently finished an internship working with child, adolescents and their families on a variety of issues such as managing emotions/mood, improving relationships and stress management with City of Rockville’s Division of Recreation and Parks, Community Services.
I am certified in MSDE Medical Administration (Maryland State Department of Education), Adult, Child and Infant CPR/First Aid (Real Life CPR) and Anger Management Specialist I (National Anger Management Association), and also have extensive training in Play Therapy (Johns Hopkins University, Play Therapy Institute Workshop @ JHU, NIRE: National Institute of Relationship Enhancement, ACA seminars). I am an inducted member of the Chi Sigma Iota Counseling Academic and Professional Honors Society and member of the American Counseling Association.
I am a bilingual therapist, fluent in both Spanish and English.
