The RCI Capital Group, one of the RCI Group of Companies, manages investment portfolios, provides financial advisory services, and arranges investment opportunities through its divisions located across Canada and the United States.

One of the divisions of the RCI Capital Group is Renaissance Capital Inc., located in Montreal, Canada. Renaissance fills a unique niche in the investment industry, working with applicants to Canada’s Immigrant Investor Program (IIP). Through this focus, Renaissance Capital has become the largest manager of immigrant investment capital in the country, accounting for more than $1.6 billion in equity investments since its inception.

Under the IIP, individuals who meet the criteria may receive expedited processing of their immigrant visas, the first step toward citizenship. The program aims to attract experienced business managers and their investment capital as a means of stimulating economic development.

Among the requirements of the IIP are that the applicant must have at least two years management experience within the last five years, must have a minimum net worth equal to $1.6 million, and must invest at least $800,000 in a Canadian government note for no less than five years. Renaissance Capital can arrange financing to help applicants achieve the investment requirement.

The additional role that Renaissance Capital fills is that of advisor, providing legal counsel for the interview process, and representation should a review and appeal become necessary. The company also helps applicants to locate and arrange investment opportunities within Canada that are best suited to that individual’s interests and experience.

The RCI Capital Group is approved by both the Canadian federal government and Quebec provincial government to promote the Immigrant Investor Program. Renaissance Capital is also a member of the Canadian Investor Protection Fund and the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada.
