Robert Charles Daywood Dhar

Robert Charles Daywood Dhar (born Krishno Chandan Dhar) is an Indian multimedia entrepreneur, corporate executive, film producer, and classical vocalist. He is the founder and principal director of Reel Digital Studio Media Partners & Entertainments, a cross-border multimedia enterprise operating between India and the United Kingdom. Dhar is noted for bridging traditional Hindustani classical music with international commercial media, film distribution, and corporate governance, having served as chief executive officer for multiple global business groups.

Early life and education

Dhar was born into a prominent family of classical musicians and artists. He was originally named Krishno Chandan Dhar by his paternal grandmother, Bakul Rani Dhar from the Zamindar Family of East Bengal which is known as Bangladesh and was raised in an environment heavily centered on Indian classical arts.

He initiated his institutional training in Hindustani classical music at the Prayag Sangeet Samiti in Allahabad, an institution historically linked with the regional Pracheen Kala Kendra ecosystem. He received primary vocal training under his father, Pandit Arup Kumar Dhar From Kirana Gharana and Maihar Gharana. To expand his technical understanding of sound production and vocal mechanics, he later trained under the veteran Indian cinema composer and music director, Pandit Ravindra Jain.

Dhar began his professional career within the public sector, serving as an Assistant Manager for the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC). In this capacity, he oversaw large-scale logistics, public hospitality systems, and corporate administration for the state-owned enterprise.

Transitioning into private international corporate management, Dhar took on senior executive mandates. He served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Executive Director for both the SR Group and the Riderman Group.
