Very Good hygienists Aren’t a Dime a dozen, they’re a rare breed that actually care for teeth. Lots of people (wrongly) assume they’re only people who did not need to shell out all of the time, energy and money to complete dental school. In fact, getting a dental hygienist requires completing an accredited dental hygiene program of 2 years’ period and pass on several national and state examinations. Some end a four-year Bachelor’s of Science program in Cosmetic Dentistry, including classes in dental anatomy and hygiene concept.
And doing it correctly isn’t something to be sneezed at (particularly not if your hygienist is appearing in your mouth). Meaning he/she (usually she) is a certified oral health specialist, and has the skills and background necessary to work on your own grin.
