A Goldsboro, NC native. Currently residing in Durham, NC where I obtained my degree in Family and Consumer Sciences with a concentration in Child Development in 2011.

Passion for teaching and my small but close family. Interest in poems and life quotes. I often relate them to my life and how I see things. One of my favorites is “The Road Less Traveled" by Robert Frost it depicts the change I would love to see in my life of changing not the world but just making a huge difference in at least one person’s life. “Two roads diverged in a wood, and I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.

I think of myself as a diamond in the rough. Many know of a diamond's formation to start a worthless rock something like a lump of coal, but under extreme pressure and heat a beautiful valuable stone is developed. This analogy helps me relate to my life and know my best is yet to come.
