ReachOut Jr.

ReachOut Jr. is an after-school club of students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade. Our club introduces children to philanthropy. Members participate in meaningful service projects that effect our local community.

Why: “Children who perform acts of kindness experience increased wellbeing, popularity and acceptance among peers. This, in turn, leads to better classroom behavior and higher academic achievement. They learn about worlds beyond their own experience. They learn, just by small acts of giving, how to become a change maker, what it means to be a good person & citizen, as well as learning from & teaching others how to collaborate and make a difference. They learn about the multiplier effect of small acts, and the large impact that can have on their communities.”

Past service projects include: Newborns in Need, Families First, Cherry Hills Schools Holiday Gift Cards, CHV Police & Fire Appreciation, Clothing Drive & more...

When: Typically the 1st Wednesday of the month(September through May. Specific dates found in the Weekly Splash & our ReachOut Jr. newsletter. Email us to be added to our newsletter list.)

Attendance at all meetings is encouraged but not mandatory.**Siblings and parents are welcome. Snacks will be provided.**
