Reagan Rosales Mulungi Mwenyi
Student affairs, Social justice, and Research in Missouri State University
Hi, I’m Reagan Mulungi Mwenyi. I’m passionate about student learning and development (SLD), values, philosophy, and history (VPH), and personal and ethical foundations (PEF) in student affairs education, research, and practice.
I recognize the role played by student affairs assessment in program improvement and ensuring student success. My professional experience in agricultural education and student support bolstered my interest in service-learning, residence life management, student experiences in the community, identity intersectionality. I have a keen interest in understanding the impact of practitioner positionality on the development of a contemporary professional identity.
My research interests include; exploring the multi-level impact of institutional policy changes on students' perceptions about institutional support, as well as the role of agricultural education in promoting social justice and community transformation. My research experience is varied, spanning the interactions between intercultural learning and student leadership development.
With a professional background in student affairs, I am also interested in projects focusing on work-life balance in student affairs, early career student affairs choices, and conflict resolution in residence life.
I'm a protagonist (ENFJ-T), and 2 & 9 on the enneagram.
I am a big soccer fan 😁 (Manchester United in the Premier League), play foosball, and have recently gained an interest in ping-pong and air hockey. I also love to take nature walks and listen to podcasts in my free time.
