Sistah Keeper
I'm a Black woman, wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and Soror to name a few. My interest is making this world a better place. I like to speak my mind and stands up for what I believe is right. There are times when I don’t; like when I haven’t found the words to make sense of what I want to say, or if I know people won’t get what I’m saying, or it is going to fall on ignorant ears, or when people are going to make that look like “You playing the RACE CARD.” With the latter, I usually say extremely loud in my head, “FUCK YOUUUUUUUU”, because doing so out loud gives me the ABW (angry black woman) label. I’m like, “Hell yeah, I’m angry”, but for the life of them, those people don’t seem to understand why my reaction is normal and completely predictable. So, I want this blog to say those things that I don’t feel like saying because it takes so much energy to deal with people in denial. It’s FUCKING exhausting and they just piss me off!!!!
I'm sick of all of the injustices, and plan to get involved in policy and legislation in the future.
Currently, I seek to continue to unite my Black community. I seek to bring All minority communities together. We have so much in common: the disadvantages we face that pit Us against another. I want us to join forces and truly be heard and seen, so that there is no option but change.
I seek to bring All Communities together.
It is my intention to publish a new post about every 2 weeks. Some may post earlier or later depending on what is happening in the world and in my life. I will use this space as a place where I can marinate on my feelings and voice my thoughts. I welcome Yours.
I want this to be a place where voices can come, those similar and afar to mine. We won't always agree, and that's perfectly fine, that's what makes Us unique individuals and gives us our own lived experiences. It is my hope that this serve as a place where You and I can feel togetherness, community and solidarity, because it is much needed. We can voice our differences and hope we are respected as we give respect to others giving voice.
