How do you find low cost homes? Try the right towns,to begin with. Then you will find the houses you make and like a present. Where would be the right towns?
Altoona, Pennsyvania still had a large number of houses for sale for significantly less than $30,00 when I write this (2005). I just saw one listed for $7,500! This is a cute little town (see the photograph on our site), but still big enough to have all you need.
Warm Springs, Arkansas has inexpensive houses. The cheapest right now is $13,500. My wife and I like Alamogordo, New Mexico a whole lot, and it still has homes under $50,000. Freedom, Kansas has domiciles beginning under $10,000!
How To Locate Low Cost Homes
It is possible to look up various local papers online, and check out the classifieds. And also this assures you that it is an area big enough for a newspaper. If there are at least a dozen houses available, you will have an idea about home rates there.
You'll find real estate agents online, or in local paper classifieds. Contact one and ask if you can find any inexpensive homes available. If not maybe he'll know which nearby areas have some.
You can go to www.Realtor.com, where you can search any community for homes listed by price, quantity of rooms, and many other requirements. This instrument will be a lot of fun. Set the criteria to choose only homes under fifty thousand or whatever you want, and you'll quickly see if you are wasting your own time on a city.
Needless to say, if you don't see many low cost homes, you still could be in a position to get one. We saw as a listed for $18,000 eventually sold for $6,000, when we lived in Anaconda, Montana, where we bought our personal lovely house for $17,500! Areas that have had some economic problems often have house selling for much under their stated value. The lesson is clear: make low cost houses to be got by low offers..
