Born in 1965, I graduated with a degree in Romanistics and Germanistics from Karl-Franzens-University Graz and completed a one-year-period as a foreign language assistant at Escuela Oficial de Idiomas de Bilbao (Spain). I worked as a Spanish and German language teacher in secondary vocational education until 2008, contributed to various Spanish textbooks, and started to lecture Didactics of Spanish as a Foreign Language at the Institute of Romanistics at the University of Vienna in 2004. I completed a postgraduate Master's degree in eEducation at Danube University Krems in 2009, where I worked from 2009 to 2011 as a scientific staff member with a specific research interest in Pedagogical Design Patterns which has also become the focus of my dissertation. I received my PhD from Alpen-Adria Universität Klagenfurt in 2014. Currently I am working as a teaching and scientific staff member at the University of Teacher Education Vienna.
