Rebecca Ferrick
Poughkeepsie, New York
An unwavering twenty-something interested in all things related to events, advertising and public relations. Rebecca Ferrick has an intense passion for writing and an endless knowledge of useless pop culture fun facts which makes her a key member for any office trivia team.
During her time as an intern at Teen Vogue at Conde Nast Publications, Ferrick thrived under the stress and pressure of working in fashion PR. She continued her work in public relations as an intern for Regan Communications during her Fall 2012 semester. A Cape Cod native, Ferrick has been able to take advantage of her hometown's ideal event location during her summer break's spent away from school. After interning with the Perfect Plan, the Cape's premier professional event planning company, she was promoted to assistant event manger the following summer.
Having always been an event planning fanatic- from when she was twelve, demanding that the Thanksgiving dinner napkins be folded specifically in a diamond. Ferrick now dedicates her time to planning multiple colligate events including but not limited to her sorority, Sigma Sigma Sigma's events, Marist College's Annual Holocaust Memorial Ceremony and many more. From budgets, room layouts to dealing with unruly party guests, Ferrick knows the industry--and loves dealing with the chaos of it all.
An active member of the Marist College Public Relations Student Society of America, Ferrick has had articles published numerous times in the PRSSA newsletter, EsPResso. Her most recent endeavor in public relations has been working as an account executive at North Road Communications, Marist College’s student-run Public Relations firm. Ferrick is a firm believer in the expression "the devil is in the details".
Her latest endeavor after graduating from Marist College, in the spring of 2014, has been working as a junior account executive with Pierce-Cote Advertising on Cape Cod.
Ferrick is a firm believer in the expression "the devil is in the details". She can almost always be found with her dog, Fleetwood at her side and a diet coke in hand.
