Rebecca is an experienced health advocate in policymaking and coalition building — having worked for the California Legislature and numerous non-profit organizations for the past ten years. Prior to becoming the Deputy Director, she was the Director of Legislative Affairs for LCHC — focusing on the development of legislative priorities.

During her time as Legislative Director in the state legislature, she worked on public health policy. While earning her Masters in Public Administration at Columbia University, she researched the effects of immigration enforcement by local government on crime reporting as part of her consulting work for Human Rights Watch. She also conducted extensive research on policies such as workplace diversity while working at Catalyst, a non-profit organization that promotes workplace inclusiveness for women. Prior to receiving her Masters with a focus in public administration and operations management from Columbia University, she received her Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from UC Davis.

She also enjoys photography, soccer, running, and traveling.
