Rebecca Ann Anderson

Pollocksville, NC

Rebecca Ann Anderson started her political as a grassroots campaign office manager during the 1998 midterm elections. In 2000, she worked on President Bush’s DC-area campaign while serving as present of College Republicans.

Rebecca earned her Bachelor’s Degree in political science and literature from American University. At 19, she began taking graduate courses in literature and was the youngest student to complete the university's Teaching of Writing Program.

During her time at America University, Rebecca taught composition courses, as well as the honors-level Washington Labratory course, which immersed young college students in the daily workings of federal government. Rebecca then went on to attend University of Baltimore School of Law. She has worked in family law, aviation law, and medical malpractice defense. In 2006, she transitioned to a career in writing and spent the next seven years as a self-employed author. In 2009, returned to graduate school and earned a Master’s of Science in Mental Health Counseling and served as President of the 1,500+ member Omega Zeta chapter of the Chi Sigma Iota Professional Counseling Honor Soceity. She is now in the process of starting a nonprofit mental health agency.

Rebecca is a traditional conservative. She beleives in preserving the sanctity of life from conception until death, protecting Second Amendment rights, and the other traditional values that many Jones County citizens value deeply. Rebecca also supports the county’s continued efforts to combat drug activity and related crime.
